WELCOME, FRIENDS! FIRST CLASS FREE TO ALL!
At Flow Yoga, you will find hot, warm, and unheated movement classes offered. We achieve warmer temperatures through infrared heat which has been shown to induce therapeutic effects on the body. Benefits of infrared heat include, but are not limited to, increased circulation, supported detoxification pathways, a reduction in muscle tension and improved relaxation. Hot classes will typically be heated to between 95-99F, warm classes between 80-85F, and unheated classes will be kept at a comfortable room temperature depending upon the season.
Please bring a yoga mat, water, and a towel. If taking a heated class, you may want to bring a beach or shower towel additionally to place over your practice mat.
Hydration is critical for a supported, easeful practice, and we encourage you to drink throughout the day leading up to class, as well as after class, to replace water losses and promote muscle recovery. Special consideration should be used if choosing to practice in the heat, or during a particularly sweaty class, to promote wellness and allow your body to
acclimate to a movement practice in warmer temperatures.
